Third Tip in a Five Part Series: ” Increase Circulation and Detoxify”

DryBrushWe live in a polluted environment, eat junk food  and are stressed out. We need to clean our cells , so they can function optimally and have the blood and lymph flow freely without blockages.

We can add skin brushing prior to showering to increase blood circulation ( allowing for more oxygen and vital nutrients going to the cells and organs) and to detoxify the cells ( via the lymphatic fluid that surrounds and nourishes the trillions of cells), which helps clear cellular toxins and debris.

How to: Use a natural bristle body brush, and brush upwards towards the heart ( the direction of flow for the lymphatic fluid) from your ankles up to your chest and arms. Do this 3-5 times, and alternate between light and moderate pressure . Do this for both the front and back of the body. Brushing brings the cellular toxins to the skn’s surface, where they can be washed away during a shower!

Benefits: Blood circulation improves, allowing for more oxygen. The lymphatic fluid gets cleaned out and it helps the immune system organs ( thymus, spleen) fight off infection.
