4 Ways to Reduce Stress – Stillpoint Holistic Studios

Posted in: Ula's Blog | February 18, 2016

four-ways-to-reduce-stress

Whether you are a pre-teen or are well into your retirement days, nobody is immune to stress. Stress isn’t easy to define, because everyone experiences it differently. No matter what the cause, though, it can cause physical and emotional harm and you should learn to manage your stress levels so you can live a healthy and happy life.

Ula Katsoulis has been helping those reduce stress and pain through holistic healing for many years. She is a craniosacral therapist in Manhattan and Philadelphia, and in this blog, she’ll show you simple ways to de-stress throughout the day.

Ula Katsoulis – Manhattan’s Favorite Craniosacral Therapist

If you’re experiencing stress in your life, don’t be discouraged – there are many ways you can reduce it. Try the following tips from your go-to craniosacral therapist in Manhattan:

  1. Turn Off Your Screens – Just because your email doesn’t talk back to you doesn’t mean you’re enjoying true peace and quiet. Turn off your phone and power down your computer to stop the ‘on call’ feeling. Experts say staring a screen before bed can keep your body from producing melatonin, which helps you fall asleep. So unplug before bed and enjoy a good night’s rest.
  2. Say No – If you feel like you’re doing too many things at once, look for the areas in your life in which you can say no. Getting up at 6am on Saturday mornings to volunteer is certainly commendable, but if it’s draining you, it’s okay to take a day off to take care of yourself.
  3. Exercise – We’re not talking intense weight lifting seven days a week. Find a type of exercise you enjoy and try to incorporate it into your schedule. Even just taking a walk can help take your mind off daily stresses.
  4. Positive Thinking – This can be hard to do, but stress and anxiety can be tiring, so give it a try. When you are faced with a stressful situation, try to think about it positively. Or take a step back and look at the big picture – compare your situation to everything else going on in the world. Is your situation as stressful as you thought?

Try Craniosacral Therapy in Manhattan for Stress Relief

If you are experiencing pain and aches due to stress, Ula Katsoulis has another solution – try craniosacral therapy in Manhattan. Using gentle manual techniques, Ula will work to locate the areas of weak fluid flow and help promote the body’s natural healing powers. You can contact her today by calling 646-645-5207 to start your journey to a better you!
